Madison Maguire is chatting with her fellow trainees Stephanie Garcia, Kai Akane, Arnold Armstrong, and Novir just before class one morning. She has just finished watching The Witcher on Netflix. Kai says that the books are way better. Arnold asks Novir if he's read or seen The Witcher, and Novir replies that pop culture is a waste of time. Stephanie points out that their reality has magic and monsters, too.

Madison then poses the question, who would win in a fight: Daniel Kravitz or Geralt of Rivia? Kai says Daniel, and Madison and Arnold laugh. Stephanie takes Kai's side and sets some ground rules for the debate. They agree to only use the television version of Geralt versus present-day Daniel. Novir leaves, considering the conversation a waste of time.

Many points are argued. Madison implies that Stephanie is Daniel's favorite and does his work for him. Kai brings up weapons and martial arts training. Stephanie, Madison, and Arnold cite specific battles the heroes have won. Arnold says Geralt has a cooler title, then accidentally implies Abby is weak and unattractive.

As Arnold backpedals, Daniel himself interrupts. When told about the question being debated, Daniel replies that he would always win, and they're late for class. Arnold retorts that so is Daniel. Daniel takes it graciously, and tells them he's going to get coffee, and they'd better be in class when he gets there. Daniel leaves, whistling a Witcher song.

Madison remarks that Daniel reminds her of Buffy, from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Stephanie doesn't see it. Arnold poses a new question, who is the better mentor: Rufus Reginald Rochester or Giles? Kai, Arnold, and Stephanie say Giles, while Madison thinks Rufus is better. The short fades out as they argue over one another.
