Story

When introduced, Levi is a fifteen-year-old boy from a prominent Jewish family attending Central York High School in York, Pennsylvania off Mundis Mill Road. He did well in school, citing a report for Ms. Hudson as easy. About a year ago, he was in a serious accident, the nature of which was not revealed, but left him in bad physical shape, and with an often-unpleasant attitude. He spent the next twelve months in and out of physical rehab, but still had a limp and scarring on his face.

Levi's best friend was Anne Ackermann, who visited him frequently during his recovery, bringing him books. She liked to say she missed his face, which was particularly painful for him, knowing his face would never be the same. He thought she was almost perfect, and definitely cared about her as more than a friend. It seemed like she might feel the same, but it was never explicitly established.

In order combat this, Levi summoned a golem that could take his shape and his place at school, making him appear totally normal. He became very fond of it and considered it a friend. However, Yiddish magic is unpredictable, and Levi could not always control the golem. Knowing that Levi was protective of Annie, the golem brutally killed a gang who harassed the girl. It also fought Daniel Kravitz and others who were investigating the Yiddish book and the gang's murder ("Witch Hunt").

Levi had left his Yiddish book at the rehab center, and went back for it when things heated up. He recovered it, but in the process was killed as he stepped in front of a spell Alfredo was casting against the golem - which was attacking Daniel at the time. Levi appeared to be dead, but really merged with the golem into one shape-shifting being.

Rufus Reginald Rochester lured the golem/Levi hybrid to an abandoned construction site, and brought Annie along. Annie got through to Levi, who revealed himself, and Rufus hoped to help restore Levi to his own body. However, before Rufus could act, Corey Addison attacked the golem, destroying Levi and the creature permanently. Levi's last act was to protect Annie, Daniel, Rufus, and Alfredo ("Deceit of Clay").
